Can any long time V1 fans provide a link to a source for the best price on a V1 RTF (including shipping)?

Thanks,

Did you get a manual with your 7E? I've been through LadyBird relative sections of mine so far and although written in english by the Chinese it's still pretty straight forward. Make small adjustments and test results. You can do this while your LB is powered up and even while in flight if you want. I make changes while landed and then test.

Just to give you an idea to calm the LB down a bit, try adding 20-40% expo to the elevator & aileron. This will take away some of the 'twitchiness' of the LB. Add travel adjustment, anywhere between 100 - 150% to the rudder and decrease expo for the rudder, -20 to -40% as an example. You'll be surprised at the difference. Then as you're skills improve you can put some of the 'twitchiness' back in if you want. Travel adjustment procedure is on page 28, Dual Rates and Expo start on the bottom of page 28.

The 7E is my first programmable radio, I was hesitant at first to take the step but it really does make a huge difference. Also programmable radios with their own receivers are the only way to get farther and deeper into the hobby...not sure if that's good or bad...
Thanks @BD Murdock.
I downloaded the 7E manual when I first got it, but I am so new that many of the settings and most of the terminology did not mean anything to me. I wanted to learn to fly before any tweaking so I did not go to far with the manual.

I will try the settings you mentioned when I get my spare parts and can build a new bird.

On the last day of the holiday my son spotted the LB in the tree!
She is resting on some branches at the very top of the tree, about 10m high. No way we could have got there.
So we left our details with the owners of the property and I'm hoping a strong wind will drop the bird to the ground.

Back home from my holiday I was expecting to find some of the parts I ordered and was very disappointed. It's been 5 weeks since Banggood marked my order as shipped (previous orders arrived within 2 weeks).

So the waiting game again!

I bought 5, as I know I will muff one, then I have spares for future repairs. Be sure to buy some flux, the flux in the solder core will not work. Look up Utube videos on SMT soldering. You can use a pointy sharp $10 dollar soldering iron. There is also conductive glues that work if you can get at least one leg soldered down to hold the component and glue the rest. Oh... Ground yourself before you start working, avoid static conditions, handle the component carefully.

Yeah I've determined this one is a little out of my range for what it is. I mean it's a cool factor and all, but I just don't see the video ever being very smooth in such a small package with the ladybird.

Tom did a review on the system with the Hoten X setup. Here is a link to it with some video:

From posts I've read the V2 flies virtually the same as the V1, I've only flown my V1 though. If I were in your position, I'd get a BNF V1 and then a Devo Tx separately. That way you can program it to your liking. With a Devo 4 or 2402D Tx you get no programming ability. The LB flies fine with those, just not nearly as fine as it's capable of with a better radio. I know, I started with the 2402D and then bought a Devo 7E. Totally different LB. You'll spend a bit more to start with but you'll be much more satisfied in the long run. You can find RTF, BNF & Tx's at these sites below. It's just a matter of searching the web to find the package(s) you're after.

Thanks...just about to ask the question again.

So no real benefit from the 6-axis vs the 4-axis?

So I found out how to get rid of the aileron/rudder cancel mix and to make big sweeping banked turns - I ordered the 9imod DSM2 board for it!!

Man, night and day. Flying on my DX8 with different flight modes and gyro gains, it's awesome. If you have a spektrum radio, definitely worth checking out!
