Anyone FPVs with Parkzone Icon A5 ?

Anyone flying it in fpv ?

That you know, is there someone making custom clear canopies to replace the smoked canopy that come with the model ?

Is it possible to remove the canopy and keep the cockpit without making too much visible damage ?

Do you think a GoPro inside the fusolage with just the lens inside the cockpit (making a little hole) will be a nice point of view ?

If you have any experience in fpv with this airplane please share your impressions.

Thanks

+1 on this!

I've been eyeballing this plane for a summer FPV water ship for awhile now.

Got one a month ago. Is one of the best flying foamies I have purchased, and I have most of them. Took off on the grass belly slide, with a very scale ascent. Internal area is HUGE for the size of the plane. Plenty of room for full FPV gear. Have only flown it a few times and not FPV (yet).

Canopy is curved in a way that would not work well for a lens. But remove the plexiglass and one could be mounted in the cockpit area externally...

How dark is the tint on the A5 canopy?

I have many cams that will work just fine thru a light to medium tint.
The tint cuts down on reflections too.

Thank You
Great to Know that she can take off on grass with wheels. I was thinking of putting larger wheels like i did for the t-28 when i get a ICON. What do you think? Any words on flap mods?
