Hangar 9 Christen Eagle II
I purchased the new Hangar 9 Christen Eagle II. (Mail Order). Opened the box to find the finished canopy damaged with the pilot figure broken away from the cockpit floor. Difficult to get the pilot back to where he belongs. There is a hole in the rear canopy former.
They used Ultracote(black) to cover the interior of the cockpit floor, then glued the pilot figure to that,.It pulled the covering off the wood... ?????
As with most ARFs there is not much evidence of glue used for construction.
I usually try to reglue everything accessible . I use white glue and brush all joints and epoxy on LG and firewall areas.
Horizon is sending me a new canopy, hope it matches up OK with the fuse.
