Deen mate sorry to hear that, I have been using Hobby Wing motors and esc`s for years now and never had a problem, have you checked that you had no bare wires shorting out or anything in the gearbox overloading the motor.

yeah all checked mate just one of those things mate i no hobby wings are good i have fitted to my fm1e

have you tried purchasing from Hobbypartz.com? Their Hobbywing products are priced cheaper too. I get my motors(hobbywing and tacon), esc and lipo(skylipo) from them. I am about to order from them a hobbywing 5200kv motor and 18amp esc.

Hey guy's have i done something wrong here why dose my bike only have 2 1/2mm of travel in the swing arm before the rider mechanism arm touches the rear guard, that can't be right.

no mate dont look right you got a picture of the back end hanging with no load on it mate so i can see the bottom of the shock and how its sitting ?

Here is a pic without the guard showing bottom of shock & shock mount does that look the same as yours

Install the stock shock absorber and try to see the difference.
The installation of the swingarm looks correct. It seems your shock absorber is a bit short and pulling the swingarm up.

Yeah i am running the kyosho alloy shock, i will have to pull it apart again & see if i can see what's happening.

Looking at your pics a few posts back Deen it looks like my shock mount on the swing arm is on backwards

yeah on mine i have the rubber end fitted down has that fixed it mate

I have almost finished my bike just have to program the electrics, i will probably start painting the body tomorrow, unfortunately my new alloy front wheel my mate machined the weight off of is buckled so i will have to use the plastic front wheel with the light weight flywheel, ah well st happens
