You are right. The virtual quad model is facing 'into' the screen, so the red rotors are further in and partially hidden... It's so you can see the virtual quad move the same way as you move the real one, just to check the gyros are all sensing movement correctly...

Did you try moving the rudder stick to the right to arm the board?Worth a try...
Seems that everyone who has attempted to install the latest firmware are having problems like this?

Getting the IFLY staff to comment and assist on here is becoming rarer and rarer...I'd hoped they'd want to show support to buyers of their products ...

I had a similar problem. I forgot to 'write' after calibrating. Motors will not arm if full rudder is not seen by the FC. Motors will also not arm unless throttle is right down.

Anyone in the UK getting frustrated by the endless windy days? My local forecast indicates no change until the middle of February.....I just want to get out there and fly, but all efforts to do so are continually thwarted by this rotten weather

Annoying....So, decided to start building my Q450 quad instead, probably wise, as knowing luck and how it can be, when the weather does improve it's likely my '4 will be unservicable or something so wise to have a back up!

IFLY -4 is now in the HK UK warehouse if anyone wants to know

How's the Naza for you? I want one but no funds as yet..

Going to use a KK2 board in mine, see how it goes. I read you on the building, winter means you can't do a lot else!

Have fun!

Matt

Oh yes... but meanwhile I have been trying to get my head around using Virtualdub and the deshaker plugin. It's not the easiest software to use (it's downright daunting, to be honest), but test output is looking promising...

Just need it to read my flying camera's mov files, rather than the test avi files...

Nick, I hope you get that working, I gave up, it only reads avi files so after converting, then run 2 passes of deshaker, but it uses phenomenal amounts of memory, something like 16 gigabytes on each pass the last time I tried...Must be missing something, but there must be easier ways to remove shake?

Let us know how you get along with it please?

Interesting, how much was the S/H Naza?

I used to build a lot of foamies such as you're doing, I still have tons of Depron, I'd really like to build something like the transport bicopters as seen in the last Resident Evil incarnation, they look really cool!
