Great job Yellow Eyes! I guess this should have been obvious to me a long time ago, but I just realized that you and Tim must be flying buds (Yes even before I read Tim's post above) cause I recognize that flying site. Where on earth do you find a cool place like that to fly when you are coming from the Brooklyn?

thanks guys. it was a great day, calm in the morning, windy in the afternoon. the laser is very stable in the wind.

that's the GCA club in Washington, NJ, a really nice airfield that I'm happy to drive an hour to get to when I have the opportunity.

Still testing them, but they make the plane a little more docile and locked in. In some ways I like it and in others I like the way the Laser flies better without them. With the tips, the Laser flies better at high speed and does precision work better, but it loses too much of it's insane tumbling ability. On this plane I don't like the trade off, but I do like the tips on the Extra.

This is why I never used them on my MXS. I just didn't care for the way it felt.

I feel like me laser is getting reconditioned like a real plane. I ordered a new right wing, because it was the second time repairing the aliron, while I was at it I ordered three new hs65's and a new 85mg.. While the servos are out of it, I tightened up the covering, recovered a few streched areas, and the SFG's..

I love bringing new life into a roughed up airframe!

DM, do you have any laser videos? Sounds like you've been flying the crud out of your laser.

Tons of flying! After I vented, and baffled the cooling system, bumped up my Xoar prop a bit, and purchase two new 2200 65c-120c packs, it was like new plane! I just haven't had a flying partner to film for me. I just got the Iphone5, and hope to put together a decent laser video before winter.

The Laser tumbles and spins so nice, and I don't like the way the tips change that. The are fine on the Extra because it makes it more smooth and precise, but they tame the Laser down a bit too much for me. I'm still experimenting with them and could change my mind.

The new tips will look real good on my new red Extra. Thanks again so much for sending me those.......definately owe you a beer when you get to Florida.

I went with Genace 2200 60-120c packs for my laser, and 4400mah 5s(x2) 60-120c packs for my 78" Extra, and so far I'm very happy with them!
