FWIW I bust the l/g leg on my Laser second time out, it didn't do anything to the mounting plate.

Yes I CA'ed the snot out of it

It's not that bad but....

It pushed in the mount about 3/8" on the rear side crushed a tiny bit of balsa sheeting and broke all 4 of the fiberglass cross braces, not sure how I'm going to reinforce it

you don't have to peal THAT much back, I made numerous repairs on my 48" Extra that involved rebuilding the gear section and I only had to move about 2" of covering on either side of the plate.
At least with the Laser, it's all the same color!

My vanq is the one plane I can point at and say,


"That one there made me a better flyer!"


But I set it up with low rates as my high rates and the osiris and vanq are all but the same. These planes are a amazing and track like glass. Put the arm in the closet hole to the servo and max your throw rates through the tx. Due to the wing design these will tip stall and a handfull of elevator won't save you and may instead hurt you even more.


But like I said the patter planes are amazing.

Man i keep watching Daniels video of the Laser. Simply amazing! I really reaaaallly want one but don't want another 48''. I hope this comes out in a 60'' version. It's awesome to see something other than Edges and Extras.

Hey guys I've been enjoying this thread.
My Laser is almost complete and I'm dying to get it in the air. I need some help with setting the throws for both low and high rates. The manual gives the suggested throws in degrees. I don't have a throw meter, so I use a ruler. Can anyone give me the throws for aileron, rudder and elevator in inches. For both low and high rates.
As you can tell, I'm new to this, so any help would be great.

you can just print out a protractor and cut off the angle you need and use that, I like this method better than my gauge
