Thanks for your excellent review!

Do you mean HS 5085MG? Aren't you using the HS 5065MG?
Have you got the weight of the plane without battery and ready to fly?

yeah I just couldn't see the firewall, I see what appears to be two g10 strips running down the lenght of the gearplate or is it a solid plate like the rest of the exp's?

Is the wing tab just glued in or is there some other reinforcement behind the tab?

Also, is the motor mounted if front of or behind the firewall?

OZ,
as its the same structure as the hk slick, that wing tab has a block behind it and is very rigid.
I'd assume the motor mounts in front like all the exp's and as Doc used the torque motor on this laser and hasn't mentioned anything about reversing it.

You got me. I meant to say HS5085MG.

No. The UPS store where I weigh my planes is closed on weekends, but the Laser is very light. I think it is lighter than even the Edge EXP.

We shot one video today, but it was in ridiculous high wind. We'll post it as soon as we get it.

Strips. Still looks plenty strong.

As you have asked the same question three times now and not got an answer, I will take it that the motor mount plate is just plain double layer ply wood, no more G10 plate glued onto the ply MOTOR mount.

Looked like Doc answered him right away, to me:

Maybe I'm just used to that sort of answer, so it parsed right away, for me.
(Sure he could've added "only" or "just" or further clarified... but he definitely answered)

Then Stgdz moved on from the firewall, asking for more on the gear plate. (solid or strips)
Doc answered that one, too... 4 minutes before you posted.

Beats me what your quoting.

I still do not understand that answer; must be an American abbreviation of the English language. I would have expected the answer to be properly phrased " no G10 on motor mount, but there is a G10 strip on the landing gear plate area" or something along those lines.

Sorry Doc if I caused issues, perhaps its something lost in translation!!! :-)
