I just ordered the Texan and also would like to fly electric. Can anybody show me how and where to store the batteries? Did you made any hatch in the fusulage? Any pics available.
Thanks, Roel

Battery location

Roel,

I am out of town right now but will returning on Friday. I can take some closer
Pictures of the battery installation then and post them Sat. The basic install
that Webr and I did was to build a tray in the back above the cockpit and over
the Elev and rudder servos and then mounted the batteries to that tray. The batteries will have to go all the way to the back to the fuse bulk head under the
wing trailing edge attachment point in order to balance. I'll have more when I get back.

Guys I am almost ready for my first flight. Do you know the CG? In the manual it says 110mm but I read in other forums to put it on 100mm or even 95? What did you use?

Roel,

I kept mine between 107mm and 110mm. Seems to work for my T-6.
Also did you figure out the battery tray issue? Sorry for not getting those pics out to ya. Forgot completely about it. Family things really got busy and then the holidays and all.

Let me know if you still those.

Mike

Ok, got a question. I'm not a poor "builder", but mostly an assembler. I've been around RC for 30 years and built quite a few kits. Over the last 10 years or so though, I've mostly just assembled ARF's. I really want this "kit" as I've heard them called but it looks intimidating with all the work arounds required. Is it really that bad? I just plan on taking my time through it and converting it to an electric. I noticed the #7 container is in with these kits and the V3 gear so now's the time to pull the trigger, I guess...
