Picture of old Target drone.
A good friend of mine bought some pictures on an Ebay auction and discovered a picture of what looks like a target drone aboard a Navy ship. The picture is probably from the U.S and taken in the 50`s or 60`s. Anyone have any info?

The drone in the photo is a KD6G-1 target drone built by Globe Corp. in the early '50 for the Navy. Had an all metal structure, was propelled by a McCulloch 0-100-1 flat four, two stroke 72 Hp piston engine driving a 42"/60" wooden propeller. Was launched by a pneumatic catapult and recovered by a round 32 foot diameter parachute. The drone was radio controlled and could float for sea recovery.
