Nitroplanes has good sale going on and I bought Airfield (FMS) T28 ARF in Red and White.
Shipping was expensive simply because of the size of the box. With the discount it was $223 shipped to my door.
There are few good build videos from Nitroplanes.

Here are the specs:

I found a two part video on YOUTUBE that helps with understanding the wiring of all the servos and the slaving in of the lights on 6 channel receiver. They are called build videos but some of the suggestions are suspect and it ignores the fitting you have to do to the prop and the vertical stab and elevator.

GLUE -- I used Beacon FOAM TAC glue because regular medium CA would probably kickoff pushing and fitting the parts together. It was a tight fit and to get a flush finish it required some trimming of foam and hand holding. In the end I use the foam tack and then hand held some sections with a gap and sued some medium CA with kicker to prevent a void or gap.
ESC and BEC
First power up smoked a gear door servo which I replaced with HXT900. The no name 65 amp ESC and supposed internal 5 amp BEC is suspect to me so I am replacing it from the start with 80 amp Hobbywing Pentium and 10 amp Castle UBEC.
Here is a photo of my hornet's nest of wires.
Lipo uses regular Velcro on the bottom to supplement the strap (not shown).
STATUS AS OF 5-6-12
Maiden flight went well. On a 4S it flies very scale but sensitive to wind. A 5 cell would help.
Cheap servoless retracts are very fussy. Left main retract would not deploy. I thought it was the sequencer but it's not. The wheel cover was binding when the gear was up. Took the wheel covers off both mains and the gear deployed.
Things to do to prevent gear retracts.
1. Filing a flat spot between the oleo and servo leg I don't get how to do it. I understand the words but can't visualize.
2. Shimming the bracket I understand and will do.
3. Cutting the foam for bent struts I will do.
4. Jettison the wheel door covers is what I had to do to get mine to work.
5. Checking the door covers attached to the strut for binding I understand. They may get removed like the wheel covers.
