I heard that the propeller for this Bubble Bee can explode during flight. Is there anyone know which propeller you can use in stead of the one come with the Bubble bee?

Also which 2 axis camera is good. I saw hobbyking has one but only tilt.

Yes it will work you will just need to configure the software and tweek the settings to get it right.

Do these ESC’s setup like a traditional aircraft ESC?

I purchased the Bumble Bee without the flight controller. I plan on using a different fight controller.

I thought I would try out the ESC’s and motors one at a time by plugging them into my receiver but they don’t seem to be working properly.

My tx and receiver work fine with a gws ESC.

When I power up the BB ESC with throttle at min the blue led flashes. When I move the throttle to the max the motor takes off at max rpm and then I can’t control motor speed at all it stays at max rpm.

I have tried 3 of the 4 ESC’s.

I am using a new Flysky TH9x radio.

you need a controller board to make all this work. the board tells all the esc's to fire at the right times (im sure they work fine if you want to check them one at a time) but the HK boards and Naza boards make it all work clean and easy.

So these ESC's will not work with a traditional pwm signal from a standard receiver?

The ESC's that come with the BB will only work with the Hk or Naza type boards?

I was just trying to check the components out one at a time before hooking the complete flight system together.

I will be using a ArduPilot Mega 2.5 flight controller. I assumed these flight controllers used a standard pwm out to control the esc's.

The Esc's will work on there on with a standard rec. what I meant was the HK boards and naza and other boards just make all the motors work on your quad together so the quad can fly.

Can the stock ESC's and motors in this quad take a 4s battery? I only have 1 3s but heaps of 4s batteries.

The spec of motors says 3s as maximum voltage. I haven't dared to try 4s. But if you try let me know if you get smoke or not

Well I tried a 4 cell twice today. Nothing smoked but each time the flip of death occurred shortly after liftoff. Nothing broken which is a testament to the durability of this quad. This is my first and so far I am very impressed. Tonnes of fun

Just went to fire up the quad and motor # 3 won't spin. Also the esc for that motor is blinking slower than the others.

Any ideas.

Are you using ESC included in BumbleBee kit? Maybe sometihng was damaged when you used 4s?

I bougth the kit with motors but without ESC. I use DJI ESC 30A Opto. And
for FC i have Naza+GPS, but I haven tried with GPS yet.

This is my first Quad also. I have only been flying for a few times and everything works fine so far. With Gopro and camera mount its heavy so I use only 2200 3S With that its about 1750g which is a little bit over maximum takeoff weight. My plan was to use 2 2200 in parallell but I think it will be too heavy so I have to live with shorter flight times I guess.
