bbq for ap

I have gone back to the original motors and props. Not sure why i had vibration issues with the new motors? I also just picked up a used nikon S8100 for ap photos and video. The camera works great and i am using the gimbled mount listed in the above posts. This combo flies just fine and takes great 1080p videos!

I like the mount and installed mine with velcro and a zip tie on each mount arm on the bbq. I had to make a small ply plate to span the two mounting arms, and bolted the mount gimble to the plate. Works great!

i saw one on youtube but not on FPV... it seems cool, but i don't understand the fact to have too much dampening on the pivots, it doesn't follow fast movements correctly (the camera still shake a little) Perhaps with analog servo it's better? can anybody confirm that?

What camera gimble you guys suggest for the BB ?...an answer should be appreciated

Gimble Mount for BBQ

There are no servos needed with the mount. It just auto levels when you bank the quad. I like mine!

I have the same mount, with GoPro, on the Bumble bee quad.
I'm not sure I like the mount for video. At first, I set it to loose, then I tried tightening it, it is still a little shaky, but if I tighten it any more, then I might as well hard mount it.
It works great for still shots, Helps level the camera. but I did have to tighten it for stills too. You could see a little blur with it loose. Here is a few samples of a water park I shot today.

hello, it seems that the QC is missing too... one motor with a not drilled properly (not threaded well) for a screw, and one screw unusuable cause defect...i got the landing gear fifed block A and B missing....and the screws for thoses parts.... i ordered it from SDShobby....quick shipped, nice service but cheap product. I'm gonna contact them. I,m disapointed.

I will let you know regarding the SDShobby service and tell here if they fixed the issue.

Aero, hope you get yours up and flying soon. It really is worth the trouble. Mine flies so good it's amazing just to watch it.

Well guys. I have to tell you the DJI props, although same hub design are slightly smaller hubs. So they don't fit. Back to square one in finding replacement alternative props.

Oh my, it won't happen soon. I have to stop to build the quad cause there are 12 screw and 4x landing gear missing. I contact SDSHOBBY.com 2 times and they refuse to send me parts without passing a new order. I will open a thread about my experience with sdshobby to let the people know how they care about their customers....

You can always order the parts from another supplier. Hobby Lobby and Hobbycool will both ship to Canada. Hobbycool has the screw set for the entire quad for only $2.90, and probably enough parts for the whole landing gear system from frame down for about $20.
