Two new Depron planes

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and have two new Depron planes to share with you. The fun-fly looking thing I call Vertigo. It is Tribute sized and weighs 13oz. with an E-Tech 2P 1200 pack. It is powered by a Hacker B20 26S with Maxon gearbox. The other plane I call Vertex. It is a Sukalyn like thing that weighs 7.25oz with an E-Tech 700 pack and is powered by a GWS 350C motor that has been retimed. Both aircraft are constructed of grey and white Depron that was stacked one sheet on top of the other. I printed the plans from my computer and taped the pieces together. Then, I placed the plans on top of the Depron sheets and cut out all the pieces of the planes. Buy switching grey and white pieces and puzzling the pieces back together, I was able to make a color scheme for only the weight of a few glue joints. Plus, I got two kits for the effort one. I think they came out pretty nice. What do you guys think? I have not flown either plane yet. The Vertigo is waiting for the FMA M5 Rx to get back from FMA. It did not work right out of the box! I thought I was treating my self, go figure. The Vertex just isn't done yet, but will be soon.
I think they will both be a lot of fun. The company I work for is building a 25,000sqf building where I will be working, and hopefully flying in, very soon!

That worked out well, good idea to mix the colours like that, makes a nice finish,as you say, with little increase in weight.

Nice looking models too,you are making me jealous over the indoor site which will soon be at your disposal!

They will both fly great, will you post a flying report?

The spinner on the Verigo, what did you use please?

Matt.

What type of glue did you use to join the sections of Depron?

I used UFO type CA. It dries to a rigid form and I think it helps stiffen up the foam. By stacking the foam sheets and cut through both the pieces fit together perfectly making the glue joints light and strong.

It's just a DuBro. It's a little heavy but not realy that bad.

Nope, both are to fast. You would have to fly them so slow that they wouldn't be any fun, and they kinda frown on prop hanging. And remember they have a 280 size limit, and that still means you have to fly slow. I have a 2 cell IPS plane that was nicely suggested that it should not return.
