New to all this plastic stuff !!
Returning to RC after a lay off of about 5 years I've just discovered this site.
I was rather hoping there might be some downloadable plans out there for a really simple 3 channel (no ailerons preferably) electric model for me to fly in the local park. Suppose I would like something about 30-40" span and entirely conventional if possible.
What's out there, and where should I be looking please?

If you're looking for an electric parkflyer, you might want to look here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=851608 That's the "plans" section from the scratchbuilt electric foamie section which is here: http://www.rcgroups.com/foamies-scratchbuilt-428/ You can *certainly* electrify one of the SPADs to fly in your park with great results, but usually the foam planes are much lighter and can be flown in a smaller space. The BluBaby is a 3 channel foam trainer designed to be flown in a gym and it is one sweet flyer! Welcome aboard!

BTW, you might want to check out Gatorlynch's videos a few posts down: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1501801 He's flying an electric DPS (one of the most popular sport flyers from spadtothebone.com) in a fairly small area.... except for that big ol' tree he flew into the top of!
