What advice to buy for parallel charge 4S 6000mA/h?

To charge a single 4s pack at 6 amps (1c for 6000mah sized pack) requires 101 watts

To charge two of them in parallel requires 202 watts

Icharger 106b wont do the job, it will max out at 168 watts (10 amps @ 16.8v)

Go with a 206b

Forget the Turnigy

One does not have to charge at the max rate the charger can handle. It takes a little longer but it isn't a problem. I would go with the Ichargers over the Turnigy. It has some support to it.

As pointed out this take more than a few watts.

6 S X 4.2(V per S) =25.2V X 6.0Ah = 151 watts to charge one at 1C.

These days most all LiPolys can be safely charged at 3C without damage or lose of cycle life. To charge one at 3C requires close to 450 watts. Two in parallel would be 900 watts.

I would purchase a FMA PowerLab6
a icharger 306B

or go really cheap with two or more of the HK specials and hope it last more than a few weeks.

I have both Power Lab and iCharger and the Power Lab wins hands down.
If you think that you will be using larger packs in the future you might want to consider the Power Lab 8 V2. It’s by far the best charger on the market.

If you do decide to go with the 200w duo charger, the Hitec version would be a much better one to get at around the same price as HK when shipping is factored in. The Hitec version goes for ~$125 on Tower after coupon. Hitec has the best warranty in the business.

Dollar per Watt of charger the iCharger wins but either of these chargers are great chargers. You should listen to this man. He is one of the few that backs up his opinion with actual real world experience.

I think given Hitec's current lack of customer support on several products, I wouldn't be buying a whole of anything from them. Telling customers to buzz off is not good warranty policy.

Is this something new with Hitec? In the RC car world (what I am involved in) Hitec has had a stellar warranty reputation for years. Basically send in a broken servo to them and they replace it no questions asked.

Yea i was wondering where that shot came from,I've had nothing but good service as well

Do a quick search for 7950th servo jittering and you will find the Hitec has rushed some things to the market before they were ready in an effort to try to gain market before the competition. Customers have paid a pretty huge amount for this error. Crashed planes, junk equipment, etc.... You can read a good bit in this thread. but in the end if comes down to Hitec losing tens of thousands of dollars in future sales because they first denying it, then admitting part of it, then only admit a little more, never all of it.....sad. imo Or you can check out RCGroups sister site; Flying Giants and fiind out where they don't even mention which servo and see how some FG members got permanently banned from the site for talking about the Hitec problem. One word...censorship. I'll probably get a point for even saying anything.
