heat sinks on the motor

How do you guys fasten the heat sink to the motor. Or is it just that the snug fit is good enough?

the tighter the fit the better the transfer. silver heat transfer paste greatly assists in the transfer. radio shack, get the 99.9% pure silver type.

The Radio Shacks in my area only have the white paste so I get the E-flite thermo paste pack from the LHS cheaper than RS..

After applying the thermal transfer compound, I clean the area where the slot in the heat sink is with acetone and a Q-Tip, then apply 3 small (1/8") dabs of epoxy along each side of the slot where the heat sink contacts the motor.
If need be, you can still "pop" the heat sink off.

This will inhibit the heat sink from sliding or rotating.
