Seagull Yak-54 .90-1.20 update
Update
I made my first flight today and it went very well. I outfitted the plane w/ a CRRC 26cc engine, and HXT 12k servos (~210 ounce torque @ 6 volts). I am currently running a 16x6 prop which will be changed to either a 16x8 or 17x6 once the engine breaks in as it needs more vertical. The video attached shows a couple of clips from my third flight of the day. First a take off and climb out, then on to a low fly-by climb and into a semi flat spin. I say semi because I set the plane up a little nose heavy for the initial setup and I don't have full throw on my elevator so I couldn't get it to flatten out. This plane lands great and is very stable, i actually got it to hover at half throttle fairly well for me. The CG setup was done at the wingtip and came out at the line where the sheeting on the wing transitions into the unsheeted area.
