ICON ballance point
I'm doing a recon on an original Icon. Since I am changing over to my 10G system I will need to re-ballance the airplane. Does anyone have the ballance point from the leading adge of the wing ?..Thanks. D C Morrison

I posted that info several weeks ago in another thread, maybe search for it? I don't remember the specific forum where I answered.
My planes are in Winter storage or I'd go measure one for you. |

CG is approximately 4 9/16 inches back from leading edge of the wing at the fuselage ... towhook is just slightly ahead of that. With the airplane assembled, the plane should balance there. Add one tube of ballast ... if the CG doesn't change, you're right on. If not, adjust the empty balance point until adding a tube of ballast results in no CG change.
 All of my Icons are balanced this way and they rock! They do not pull out of a "dive test" by themselves ... it just keeps going  Hope this helps. tk |
