Hello and Welcome,
I had a full scale Condor 2 ultralight back in 1983. I always wanted to build a model of it, but the technology just wasn't there. Now it is.
But to keep things simple I thought I would use slow stick wings and make it look more like a Kolb.
I'm designing on the fly on the first one and if it flies decent enough I will post up some plans later on. This will be my 2nd plane with an animated pilot. Some of you may have seen my TiggerBat from 2011. Video is posted on down the thread.

On this build I'm going to try and hammer through it to meet a deadline. So the first plane may have some compromises , but bare with me.

My wife and I were Joking around about the Name of this Plane.
I was thinking "Woody Stick"
She came up with "Ultra Woody" LMAO
Then I thought of putting simulated wood siding stickers on the sides...

The Tigger bat is neat, this should be a nice compliment.

I like "flying woody" or a "woody with wings".

Thanks guys. This one will have The Fun Cub giant balloon tires on it and can be flown from just about any surface unlike the TiggerBat. Should do fine with winds up to 5 mph too.
If time allows there will a couple of other cool features added too.
I want to put a bomb bay on it, like the one in Lloyds skydive plane.
And it will have a really neat shock absorbing landing gear.

Saw your post about an ultralight. I flew a lot of Cox .049 stuff as a kid and thought this would be cool even though I never could afford it. Looks like other people had the same idea--brushless motors and lipos make it easier than ever.

Too much head scratching, not enough building.... I finally got the rear bulkehead/ tail boom mount/motor mount/ rear wing mount structure done.
all Cut by hand fellas.
