Sweet...
I looked at banggood but found a local seller hear in Oz, have motor heat sinks and lipo's ready to go. Still weighing up the rotor replacement and I'm not overly concerned about brushless as I'm slowly building up a 450 CP anyway..

Just have to sort out a cam for it..

OldOz and Flyor, thanks much for the description and schematic. Those help so much to sort out the connections needed. I was under the impression that a BL main motor would require the brushed to brushless converter, but it appears not. The converter is only needed for a BL tail motor then? OldOz, your brain is working just fine - I bet my "old brain" is older than yours! Flyor, I spent some time in Rotterdam many years ago as my mother-in-law is (was - she passed away) Dutch. Really nice place and people. One of these days I'll get to Australia also - Hawaii is part way there! Now for a parts order.......and wait.

Looking to order paddles for my V911 from miracle-mart.com and thought I'd have a look at batteries for the F45 (which I don't have yet) while I'm in there. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these...
http://www.miracle-mart.com/store/in...oducts_id=6798
... and whether there's any reason they couldn't be used on the F45. I'm clueless on things like discharge rates and stuff, but where the nano-tech 2000mAh are 2S1P 20~40C, these are 2S (don't know what the "1P" means) and 40C discharge rate.
Physically they are about 17mm longer than the nano-tech, so I don't know if there is enough room to fit them when the tabs are removed, even if they could otherwise be used. Not sure about weights either, as this one is 145g, but the nano-tech is either "98g (including wire, plug & case)" or 154g if you believe the figures on the Product Config Table.

Any replies which further my slowly-accumulated knowledge would be appreciated.

Thanks
Tigg

While I have not used the above brand, I have a Sky Lipo of nearly the same dimensions. It required the removal of the rear battery holder stops and the front battery tab to make a long flat surface. Also had to relocate (or lengthen) the red and black wires from the PCB as there was not enough room to slide the battery past the wires. The battery overhangs the front of the battery holder by about 15mm which keeps the center of gravity close to neutral. I also use the Nano-tech 2000mah and can't tell any difference between the two. Batteries are held in place by a strap of velcro. Got the Sky lipo because it takes so long to get items from Hobby King, but the Nano-tech didn't require as many mods, even though they are minor.

Lost binding from time to time

folks!

After around 1 month waiting, I received spare parts from Banggood.
When I bound my heli with the new Tx, everything goes wonderful.
So it's clear now that the original Tx was lemon.
I have flied heli with this new Tx for 5 or 6 times, up to 10 meters high
50 meters far, no problem at all.

My experience Banggood is REALLY wonderful. They quickly responded
to all my inquiry and help to solve the problem. Except shipping takes longer
time, otherwise, they are as good as e-flite.

Congrats JeffTeeh! I've had mine out around 150m away and ~100m high many times and other than straining to see what direction I'm facing or fighting wind etc. I've had no problems with signal loss. Just be careful of wind... I nearly lost mine in to an industrial compound when a wind came up. Since I've upgraded to brushless main motor, 3s battery and reduced pitch blades I find I can handle 20km winds with no problem. I even was able to scoot in and land on a man hole cover easily a couple of days ago.

I am only familiar with the EH200 myself... Is there a reason you don't want this one?

the reason I want to replace motor Eh 200 is because I have a lot of motor wing aircraft, and some motor helicopters for size 450
I want to take advantage of what I have

who have upgraded the main motor for F45 with another motor EH200?

StormForce ( Mick ) will be sadly missed

My Best Mate Mick.

For all of you who new Mick and followed this thread and many others that new him from other threads that he had posted in.

I got a phone call today from his partner who informed me about my best mate Mick.

It is with my deepesed regret and sadness to have to infom you all that on the 26th of July Mick passed away very suddenly at night with a masive heart attack.

He will be sadly missed by me as he was a dear freind and mate that I spoke, joked and worked out heli faults ect everyday.

Rest in peace Mate.
Eugene.
