Well the sellers have to clear out all the old stock b4 we can start seeing the new design connector

@Hope. I also have 3 v911's with those 2 tiny tabs but the real help is as Gordonzo suggested give a slight Aileron flick on take off and it will go up perfectlly straight. I do the same for all my V911's as well

Back from my second outside flight...I certainly enjoyed it more than my first the heli started moving against the wind ok slow but at least moving not just hovering I don;t think there's much adjusting you can do with the swashplate and servo arms to increase throw after looking closely at it today there seems to be more room for increasing ailerons but not elevator that's for sure unless you try fitting another swashplate!! Battery might improve with more cycles from what I've seen on the net I only risked flying it for 5 -6minutes(waiting for that voltage alarm buzzer to arrive) then I brought it down and called it a day but inside I find it very easy to control in a small area hovering and giving it some forward and side moves.

You will find increased performance with a little higher battery power, a real Lipo.
1800 - 2200 mah does make a difference.

5-6 minutes its too short, my flight time is around 9-11 minutes with the stock batteries, then is when the helicopter cant lift, I chech the voltage of the battery and after 9-11 minutes, they are 6.8-7.1 volts,

and for the servo arms not to much, but is a really big diference, the elevator soports one hole further, but the problem is that the stock arm is was cut, so I suggest you to change the servo arm from aleiron to elevator, put the link in the next hold and cut the rest, you will have for sure a 20% more swash plate movement in elevator, and alerion will be same a stock, if your order a new aleiron servo you will have an other servo arm, then you can put your aleiron 1 hole further, and also has 20% more swash plate movement for aleiron

I really recomend this mod, much more than a higer battery, because the movement agaist the wind, is a fight, between the movement you give to the swash plate, and the flybar. so you can do 2 things to win the battle:

1.- Improve the movement you can give to the swash plate.
2.- reduce the flybar weight so that way the strong of the flybar efect is less, and your swash plate movement is stronger.

a bigger battery only will give you mroe weight ( a little better wind resistance) and if has more cc, will give you more punch for trottle, but will not give you a really improve against the wind.

I will upload pictures later

I think I will try both mods since you both have seen in improvement. Your mod is cheaper Mr. Samuelson so will be the first task and since I was goin to get another battery might as well get a stronger one. Now my question is this, do I need a different charger from stock if i get another stronger battery like the jamar or jiffy ones mentioned in this thread earlier?? I know it's a bit dumb but better safe than sorry. My opinion is that stock charger will do fine just takes a bit longer to fully charge I guess.

We really don't know for sure the MJX charger is compatible with Lipos. It is supposed to be, but then their batteries are labled as Lipo.
Here as some good chargers for cheap. The first two I have and use.

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...40v_Input.html $11.44 in stock 2 or 3 cells
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...cessories.html $22.99 on backorder Accucell 6

http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s..._GENUINE_.html $24.99 in stock Imax
Power supply 5 amp. The accucell and imax need a power supply.
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...dProduct=11758 $8.98

Well what I know for sure is that the MJX stock battery is a pair of 18650 batteries that are found commonly used in many other things just search ebay 18650 battery and you ll find a lot. I have a xml t-6 bicycle light that is very powerful for night riding that is powered by 4 18650 cells exactly like those of the MJX and they have been good so far been using them 3 4 times weekly for more than a year now and charging them on every 2 rides!! they seem to be good quality IMO!! The Servo arms are more of a problem than I imagined since it seems you have to bend the metal bit of the links to be able to move them to a different hole for more swashplate movement

That's what I thought, but the servo plastic is soft and they will come out without bending the steel link.

I am finally back in the air with my F45. I had a light vibration after my friend dumped it into the asphalt. After waiting almost a month for parts I stripped it down and starting putting pieces back on, one at a time, until the vibration returned.

I originally thought it was a bent shaft but it turns out the shaft on these things is very heavy walled and unlikely to bend. The problem was the long special screw, that holds the upper 'central axis' plastic piece, was bent and the hole slightly damaged. I straightened it out and re-installed from 180 degrees. Vibration gone. No parts needed. But I now see the need for a screw set for the F45. If anyone knows where to get one, let me know.

I am currently running a 7.4V 1500mah 15c Li-po cheapy that weighs half of the original li-ion. But it has difficulting balance charging and flight times are only 5 min. I think it is overrated and more likely a re-labelled 1200mah. I will be trying a Sky Lipo or Turnigy 1800mah next.

I have a Honey Bee heatsink on the main motor. I have only had a chance to do one test but the motor was 90 deg F after 5 minutes of hovering on a cool 52 deg F day. I plan to try more tests on a (hopefully) warmer day, with and without the heatsink.

Spring has been slow coming this year up here but now the lawns and trees are finally turning green.

Here are some shots of my F45 checking out the cherry blossoms.

Keep them F45's skid side down.

regards . . . g

Yep it's compatable with Li-Po batteries but I use a ballance charger the Imax B6

It has one glaring difference. The controller is 27 Mhz and not compatable with any other. While the frame looks similar the electronics are going to be
significantly different.

Yes I noticed that I was only referring to the outside looks of the heli especially the tail rotor, and head assembly is very similar as well.

At first glance there seem to be a lot of similarities such as the head design and the pattern on the frame. It is much smaller yet appears to be heavier, and the battery is half the size.

The rotor span is 16" while the F45 is 21". The listed weight is >1000g while I believe the stock F45 is <800g. The battery is 7.4V 800mah vs 1500mah on the F45.

Maybe more similar to a DH9116?

if tomorrow there s little wind I ll try fitting a Nokia N79 mobile phone that I don't use anymore more to the F45 skids with some velcro or thick rubber bands and see if i can record some aerial video with it. the mobile has a 5 mega pixel camera so should be good for viewing if I succeed
