my battery cable is tight.... i build my harness not for the gimbal.... so that might be part of it as well.

i installed the isolators like you described.... however it is possible that I twisted them too much..

what size battery are you using?
4s 5000 mah. Probably same as yours.

It looks pretty good. Hard to tell vibration in low light. You may have aerodynamic vibration on the multi rotor. I noticed vibration when you are staying still or descending. If you listen carefully when you fly you will noticed that the props make a different noise when you are hovering or descending. That is from the prop wash.

I know I will get some vibration when I hear that noise.

Hi Adidas4275 how heavy is your y6 and how are your flight times Im building a similar y6 with carbon from scratch and Im using graupner 11x5 props and hope to get less vibration. I also use some scratch dampeners which have worked well on hexa.

Your frame is blocking a lot of airflow.

your right, i didnt notice that... when flying forward there is very little vibration and when hovering there is a lot more.

I am not convinced that I am balancing my props well.... yet....

so I got the dubro balancer so I can test it vs my topflite

we will see, i might move the camera back some, i notice my CG is fairly far forward.

okay so I did some more work today on the gimbal.... I added 12-14 rubber grommets to the mounting points between the frame and gimbal. I then added 4 more rubber isolators to the battery/camera tray.

I also bought the dubro prop balancer and rebalanced my props.

I noticed that I had one prop adapter that was slightly bent and not spinning true.

Then i mounted the nex-5n on moongel on the camera tray.

after all this i have fairly good results. not perfect (yet) but inching closer!!!!

well... sorry for the lack of videos lately.

I have been sport flying with my Y-6 Rusty's frame to try and improve my flying skills and I have started my 1st of 2 RC Carbon Builds.

here is a test with a WKM as a flight and gimbal controller (this has some post stabilization)
AG0555n Gimbal Test with DJI Wookong M WKM gimbal control Hexacoper Sony Nex-5n (2 min 25 sec)

here is with the HoverFly pro controller. (this is 100 completely RAW)
Askman and Gary's Gimbal Test MKS Servos Sony Nex-5n Aerial Video Y-6 Hexacopter HoverFly Test (3 min 23 sec)

the HoverFly Pro controller is smoother and has better gimbal controls.... but the WKM has more features and better GPS control

both of these are on the same Rig, with everything the same except the flight and gimbal controller.

there is some bounce that is from the gimbal G10 not being strong enough.... askman is making new, thicker battery trays for the gimbals now to address the issue. Great customer service!
