6.5' DOW Blue foam flying wing
I finally got enough progress on this to show pics. I spent a lot of time designing this wing, so hopefully it flies well later. These are just the rough cuts. Basic dimensions.
It's Blue Foam sheets from Lowe's. They're $14/piece, and I bought 2. I had to split them in half and cut 18" off of the end to fit them in the little Acura Integra I drive. I did so with a razor blade in the parking lot. Lol.
I'm cutting this with a $25 battery charger I picked up at a pawn shop and some .030 welding wire a friend gave me. so far, it cuts VERY well (note: do NOT use flux-core wire. Solid core is 10x better). I did spend $4.00 on better alligator clips (in the Wal-Mart camper/trailer section).
Admittedly, I have no idea if this Prop Drive 35 1400kv motor with a 5.5x11 prop will be able to push it, though. We shall see...
