UMX Beast 3D BNF vs UMX Mig 15 EDF BNF which is best?

Hey guys i know it might sound like a silly comparison but i would like to know the pro on cons of the beast 3d vs the mig 15, i like both but i can only afford one, i would like to know which do you think its best overall, im trying to buy a good plane which can do pretty much all stunts a 3D plane can but at these sizes.

Anyways i like the mig 15 because edf jets are always better protecting the motors no? beying able to move it left and right while on the ground is a big bonus too, im not sure umx beast 3d can do the same.

Also Can the mig 15 do anything the umx beast can in terms of stunts?

is the mig 15 really only 3-5 mins? umx beast 3d semms to be 5 mins in the specs which makes me wonder if it has more flight time.

Feel free to tell me anything about these two planes and why you think one is better than the other.

If i had the money frankly i wouldve bought both.

So which 3D stunts do you expect the Mig to do?

They're totally different planes, you cannot compare them like that.
Altough EDF is better to protect the motor, jets like aircraft are the most hard do handle, next would be aerobatic and then trainers and high wings.
if you want to do some aerobatic and hard/softcore maneuvers then go to with the Beast. If you want high speed flight but with no or few maneuvers then go to the Mig15.

im asking if it can do all the umx beast manouvers, both really are wonderfull planes but different aswell, i always liked jets more for their speed, design and protection against accident, proppelers can be dangerous when hitting someone by accident or can break easelly and the motor too when hitting the ground because of whirlwinds for example... but i want to be able to do what the umx beast 3d can if it cant then i might go with the umx beast as a choice between the two.

Definitely you cant do the same Beast do with the Mig15.
The Beast has a thrust-to-weight ratio superior to 1:1 and nice control surfaces, the 2 essential aspects of 3D flying. Mig15 does not have a 1:1 superior thrust-to-weight ratio and its control surfaces wont allow for the movement you need to handle the plane in 3D maneuvers.
but my advise would be to not going to anyone of those. The beast is a very tiny plane and tiny planes are very hard to control, comparing to a middle sized plane.
If you're starting in 3D I suggest the GreatPlanes U-CAN-DO 3D. Its a 3D unbreakable trainer i suggest this because when training 3d maneuvers, you must do them near you and a tiny plane wouldnt be so easy as a bigger one. But if you really want one of these 2, go for the beast. =)

My best regards and nice flights

Ok devnull so generally a a edf jet is not able to do stunts that the older method (proppeller) planes can, ill still go with umx beast 3d then, thank you very much for your information and for the suggestion of great planes.

As previously stated, you can't compare a military jet to an aerobatic propeller-driven airplane. The only similarities they have is that they both fly. Totally different flight characteristics, propulsion methods, etc. With the Beast, you'll be flying (mostly) slow aerobatic maneuvers. And even at that it's not like the Beast can fly slowly... it needs a fair amount of speed to remain airborne. With the MiG, you'll be flying fast zoom-and-boom passes.

Since they are totally different and you mention you can only afford one, you have to decide what kind of flying you want to do.

And please don't take this as condescending, as I'm only trying to help and/or prevent frustration on your part. What's your flying experience? I ask because if you're still fairly "green", neither one of those planes are good if they are your first and/or second purchase. They are small and delicate, which isn't good for a beginner. If you're a seasoned flyer, please disregard my comments and carry on.

I make his words mine.
With this two planes you must dicide wich kind of flight you prefer. Don't expect to do more than loops and rolls with the mig.
Either one or the other are suited as a second plane unless you have really mastered the basic skills. As Mike_Then said we are not beeing condescendent, just dont want you to spend money for nothing

Thank you very much for your care guys, well i like both types of fliers, i like jet more but if that jet cant do all tricks the beast can, then i guess ill go with beast for now, one day later if i ever get to have spare money (which will not happen in the near future) i will also buy a jet, i really want a plane that can do all tricks and the umx beast semms to be it, its small its steady, its good against moderate wind what more could i ask, i like small planes better than bigger planes, there are some downsides like wind resistance beying weaker and also smaller speed but tbh i still like small planes better, i will also buy a bigger plane one day, im thinking of multiplex fun jet ultra for its amazing speed unless i can find a better true edf jet with rudder control aswell.
My experience with planes is pretty much games only which ofc they are not even close to simulators and simulators arent exactly real life, but thats another reason im buying that plane, its small its sustainable against crash and i really dont wanna waste money just so i can get a trainer plane, i know the basics of airplane manouvers and yes i know theory is not much to go with but still, i think ill handle it as long as i do it with care and learn the basics day by day, one day i elevate it and land it, second day ill go left, right up down, and so on...

At least get a video of your 10 sec flight so you'll have something to remember. This is not going to end well.

Legendary_Agent ready carefully Mike_then and my last post.
If you want to go on anyway, its up to you. Post a video of your maiden flight.

Best regards and nice flights, always in safety!

EDIT: "its small its sustainable against crash" no its not lol this planes are not made to be resistant.
