Comparison: Traxxas XO-1 vs OFNA DM One Spec E

Anybody have these two or driven each and can say which they prefer as far as actual all around performance, not just top speed?

Also, they both use 17mm hex drives, would I be able to put the XO-1's wheels and tires onto the OFNA?

i dont know much about the x01 but i love my dm1 spec e, It has the same castle power setup as the x01 and can still be raced because its 1/8. I was going to buy the x01 tire setup aswell cause they would fit, but not after seeing that they cost $120. Overpriced just like the rest of the vehicle.

Nice to see someone finally replied after all these views. I thought my post was invisible or something. Do you have any videos of your running?

Yea, I'm researching the OFNA, but I don't see many vids on that version. Mainly the Ultra GTP2 version.

After watching a few vids of guys tearing up the stock tires, the XO-1's may be needed for mad power. Plus, they won't balloon at high RPM's like the unbelted OFNA tires.

It's too bad Losi doesn't make an on road version of the 8ight E, I'd go for that over an XO-1 too.

I was looking at one in the LHS the other day, it's definitely a solid car. The tires are huge, and feel pretty grippy. Still can't see me spending anywhere near that much on a car that has no racing class, but it does look well designed.

If you have a huge parking lot, and just want silly speeds, it's your car. If you want to race on a track, there are much better options.

^^ I think you mean two 6s in parallel? The label says 6s on it, and two 3s packs wouldn't be 6s2p.

So - How did the Ofna DM-1 compare to the XO-1?

Hi!
It's a year later and I wonder how the Ofna DM-1 Type E compares to the Traxxas XO-1 in today's market.
One change is the price on the XO-1. It's down to about $660.
How is your DM-1 running?
Regards,
-Bob-
