Small Rertacts

Hi,

I have been looking for retracts, electric or mechanic or even pneumatic for a 1.7kg plane made for takeoffs and landings on smooth asphalt surfaces at low to very low speeds (around 30km). So no grass or hard 60km/h landings.
Problem is, almost all retracts I could find had a depth (height) of 20mm or higher and the wing is only about 15mm deep.

I'm now going to try this one here: (depth 10.6mm)
http://www.overdrive-racing.de/fahrw...zfw-14g/a-782/
  • Do you think that this retract will put up with the stress of a 1.7kg plane? Could I strengthen the retract sufficently by building a plywood/resin box around it?
  • Do you know of any other retract system that fits the requirements i.e. depth of 15mm or less? I have searched on HK/Lindinger etc. for about two hours now and I was unsuccessful.

Thank you very much!

p.S.: The Nose Gear is no problem since there is a lot more space in the front.
