That's good for keeping it from flying away but it doesn't help you keep control of the thing.

I may have misunderstood what this thread was about I thought it about preventing TX's flying out of peoples hands.
There is another thread I was looking at which is a novel idea = http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1603965
I don't seem to have a problem with my DX8 as the stick recesses are quite deep.

Edit: Ok, I just had a go at using the Wii strap, Yes it would prevent the TX from being thrown to the ground but for keeping the TX in position in the hand it's a failure without major surgery!
