The thrust bearings I use go between the shaft coupler and motor. There's a photo of one installed on a 2028 in the big Llumar hydro I started (and abandoned to build the Falcon cat)

10-4 on matching the motor shaft size. OSE sells then in 5, 6, and 8 mm.

Yeah, Im still thinking along the 452 - 455 range at least for a starting point. A stock S270 is way too much prop for that motor. It puts a pretty good load on a 2028 even. I know mine is cut down to about 60 mm and think your's is too best I recall.
