So. for the dumb folks.

Real world meaning is what? with two 2S lipos the RX only sees about 7.0V when you consider the loss from extensions and the jr type connectors?

As Mr. Smith mentioned he uses 4 jr style connectors to connect power to his 50cc plane. He concludes that the jr connecor can't take much more than 5 amps sustained. This is supported by the troybuilt video where they mention a 8711 could pull 5amps. Makes sense. So a switch with 2 output leads will suffice if you have 2 2S lipos. The distribution would be 2 switches with 2 leads each or 4 leads x5amps max = 20amps. 5 servos can pull max 25 amps(hypothetically). More like 20. but either way pretty close.

Over that, 100cc, it looks like a power box?

I'm right at 6.0v since I first set it up. I might try a slight bump when I get it airborne again. I've heard they are good up to around 6.3. My motor should be headed back to me tomorrow.

used to be something better - the mad dog mounts. But those are no longer being produced unfortunately and are hard to find.
The a60 cage mount needs beefing up. They will break in 3d flight without it. I just broke mine on monday on about my 12th flight of my new 87" SHP.

what happens if you don't reinforce the cage mount:

Thanks. Yes, I have the mad dog on my 89 w/Neu 1521. That's why I asked. Sucks he doesn't make them anymore. I was trying to purchase the one that I think you ended up with but apparently I didn't get it. Thanks for the example.

Question about power poles...If you're going to use crimped connectors, why not just use Molex connectors? I'm sure there must be some reason for this, just not sure what it is.

I have two powersupplies that I connect together with a fancy MOLEX connector when i want 24V. It's a sweet connector, but only rated for about 100 cycles so it won't work well for our batteries.

Edit: Now that i think about about it, the rating is probably for cycles WITH maximum current flowing. For situations where there is no current flowing during the mate/demate, you probably get much longer life out of it.
