A friend at the field asked me get him one of those 5-6amp AC lipo chargers (Thunder AC6 and clones)...well I couldn't resist picking up another pair of dell PS and a icharger 3010. This will be in addition to my 306 at 24v.

To hit the field by 8am I would have to get up at 6am to charge...now I get another hour of sleep...well worth the price.

Sometimes...and sometimes I charge like 1/2 the night before. But I have a theory that every hour a lipo sits charged shortens the usable life span and that at storage they will last for many years. I know most people charge the night before and have no problems.

Flying was fun today I got some well needed practice in. Also got some pony rides in. Man the 104 is awesome

I charge when I get back from flying, I know not a great thing to do, but I fly like 3-5 days a week so my batteries never sit for more than a few days

But they spend 99% of their life at 4.2v if I am reading that correctly. How old are your packs and what brand?

I charge my packs at the field. I hardly ever charge them at home. I usually make a split second decision to go to the field so I don't have time to charge them at home.

I have a ton of batteries, gens ace, nano, haynin, turnigy, thunder power, some have over 100 cycles, some have 10. I don't see any difference, I don't charge at more than 2C, I feel high charge rates are more a factor than leaving them charged. but I just don't know. What I do know, if I get 100+ good flights on a $18 2200mah battery I'm happyy .18 cents a flight

I should do a test on my next batch of 2200

+1, you are absolutely correct, plus anyone with a half decent charger/batteries can charge at least a 5c charge rate and have them done in no time in the morning. that's what I do
