Slower internet = maybe but I doubt it would be very much. Only when your flying online.

89 Maiden

I gave a friend my old 89 " damaged fuse, bought him a motor box repair kit and found a set of wings, cowl, tail feathers, and cowl on FG for 2 hundred bucks. He rebuilt the plane and it looks almost like new. Anyway took it out for maiden Tuesday, get's up ther flys for a bit starts to roll, the plane hesitates and flys a little more and brings it in. The control rod came of his right aileron. Fixes that goes up flys a bit brings it in and his landing was hid normal good landing, turns out his ailerons were not working! He had a bad servo extension wire from the Y. We go out againg today, he flys for a bit and says I have no throttle!! Brings it in, checks it out and decideds to take it up again. Flys for a bit same thing after a few minutes he says he lost the throttle, a few seconds late he get the throttle back lands, calls it a day.

We call Futaba as he has a 9C super, they thought perhaps that for some reason he was drawing to much power and putting it into fail safe mode of 20% throttle. He had new 2800 nickle metal batterys. Does that make since, any ideas on what good be going on with the throttle problem.

NIMH cant push much amperage. That is why the big GS guys have gone to LIFE A123 or LIPOs

thats what I was thinkin too but i dont know anything about the nickels....some people still use them for the ignition but thats not a high amp draw component i dont think
