I ordered some new sulivan 4" wheels w/ alum hubs from the lhs but they won't be in until monday but have no clue what size the hole will be on those. I'm just trying to get it ready to fly for the weekend. I picked up some 5/16" wheel axles which work great with the collars I have but shaft is pretty small for the wheels already on the plane. Also those axles won't work with the wheel pants since the bolt on part/threads are not long enough.
The stock 87 SHP wheels are 3.5", or at least that's what mine have written on them. If it's 8mm (I never measured mine), try looking at smaller heli shaft collars, some of the 500 and below size helis use an 8mm mainshaft and they have collars to hold it in place.

I'm no expert, but just about any internal combustion engine will benefit from back pressure created by the can. with no can, there is no pressure to send the piston back down for the next stroke.

combustion sends the piston down every stroke

Yes, it does, but I know when I run my motorcycle and quad with no can, it has zero power. They will run, but there's just no "grunt."

Please see this site for a basic explanation of how a tuned pipe (expansion chamber/helmholtz resonator) works...

A "can" muffler works somewhat the same, but is not as "peaky" nor does it need to be tuned to the engine, like a true tuned pipe does..

And no, sorry, the back pressure from a tuned pip does not push the piston back down...

Actually every second stroke in a two stroke engine, and every fourth stroke in a four stroke or every eight stroke in a "hit and miss" engine, which is an eight stroke engine.... (A stoke of course is either up or down)

How even a simple two stroke engine (be it port timed or reed valve induction) can take a long post to explain...so we won't go there....

But this site has a simple animation...

Sorry PB that we didn't come out and fly with you today. I got "diggity2424" all excited when I would hover the 87shp side by side with his 74" Edge.

The 87shp is mine and the rest belong to "diggity2424"
