even the expensive osd you will need to reset home position everytime you boot i think that is practically normal for an OSD

Yeah it is just a sketchy OSD, but then many OSD using GPS for altitude have trouble staying accurate. The better OSD use a barometer for more accurate altitude calculation.

My problems with Suppo OSD is more because of the weak oem connectors on this unit. I am thinking of soldering the wires on permanently, which is often needed to improve the reliability of many FPV components. Also my FPV Japan DV often can't record the OSD even if the video is perfect - weird.

Don't bury this OSD! you need to be able to press that reset button!

Still for $50 I really like having a GPS OSD that I can afford to lose.

1) On boot up it states Suppo OSD 2.0, does this mean I dont have the 2.3 version? Also noticed I dont have the option to change between feet & metres which is 2.3 only?

2) I am powering the OSD through the VTX power, the voltage displayed is 11.4v when in fact a multimeter shows the lipo @ 12.4v, the main reason for buying the OSD is to monitor voltage on my quad so I know when to land, why is it so far out?

So if you made an order for the 2.3 version and have a receipt for it, someone has some explaining to do. What website did you buy yours from?

Sorry can't help you on the voltage thing. Have you tried connecting it this way
Lipo--->OSD---->Vtx. The OSD diagram does show a dedicated +- connection on the OSD
for power in.

What I am having trouble with is understanding this wiring diagram. I believe there is an error. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
But to me it doesn't make sense the way they have drawn and labeled the blue wire between the Vtx and the OSD.

See attached pic.

I bought the unit from bambucopter.com after he first posted details of the new v2.3 availability and then confirmed that they are only now shipping v2.3

So it looks like I have been sent an old unit

I have made some ground on the voltage issue as my VTX (bevrc vtx 2.4 500mw) drops power output down by 0.6v from input power HOWEVER even after hooking up the direct "plane battery" input Im still getting incorrect voltage reading, a fully charged 3s lipo @ 12.6v is showing as 12.2v on the OSD for me this is too far off, especially with the main reason for fitting an OSD to my quad is to monitor the lipo.

Looks like I need to contact the bambucopter and arrange to return this

Edit : Another thing, is it normal for the OSD to sit on the spash screen until it gets a GPS signal? kinda of annoying when you want to test inside.

That's customer service right there! Next time I'm going with Bambu.

I finally got a reply from JustGoRc after 4 days of trying. I had to reach them by sending a message through the Ebay msg system. I didn't even purchase it via from Ebay but there email address kept getting kicked back.

What difference does it make how our cameras are connected if we got V2.0 after we were told only V2.3 was shipping?
