Hummingbird-what's my next bird? Want a bigger one...
I've loved my Hummingbird and am wondering what's the next logical step to go to next. I would like to go a larger one - I see I can go with a collective model that has a "mechanical linkage" so I can use my Flash 5X radio? Or do I just go fixed pitch again?

how about piccolo pro ? I'm just done with my Hummingbird. I am comfortable to fly FFF now and to bring the heli to me from anywhere IF THERE IS NO WIND. I still crash because the heli floats when I need to bring it down. Looks like I have to go up for CP.

Like to get something bigger - been told by countless people that the Corona or similar is much easier and more fun to fly... Now that I'm pretty comfortable hovering I shouldn't crash as often!
Is it practical to try the mechanical linkage collective? Joe |

If you want something bigger a Corona is good but you will still have problems with pitching up in the wind. There are no "practical" CP mods yet but after the first of the year, there might be be a semi-sanctioned one by an off-shoot of LMH called Choppahedz, I think.
Until then, I still think the Eolo is an excellent choice. It is fully 3D capable right out of the box and with a BL motor an LiPos it is an awesome "little" machine. -- Gary |
