Off to go fly in a bit, get some work done first. Perhaps a little practice for tomorrows routines (one show at bigfoot, then sky ranch right after), gonna get some more precision flying in today too I think. I'm in that mode.
AT6 Video is wanted

I hope I get to fly this weekend. I have a new 72 here w/ only 1 flight on it so far. It's going to be HOT though.

My son is recovering from having his tonsils removed so I'm not sure I'll be able skip out of the house or not...

Well, I maidened the 48 epp extra today. It went well. I did notice that either my elevator servo is getting blowback or my elevator is flexing. I think the elevator is flexing because my servos are stronger than 65mg's and right in the middle of the elevator hingeline there is no hinge, so the elevator can move up and down, not giving me any more throw.

On the 3rd flight, I had a mishap. The landing was a little hard, but not too hard. Anyway, I ripped my landing gear out. It didn't bend, it ripped out. So now I have something to fix.

Does it feel like the elevator is getting blowback, or can you see it? I always had trouble holding a hover with my 48... always needed up elevator and it felt ineffective like the elevator servo was weak.

Then I learned that the plane likes to hover leaning back towards you (if you are looking at the canopy.) Basically it likes to be slightly inverted.

You may already know this from experience or the 48 Extra thread... just tossing it out there. The tail section of this plane does flex and twist a bit... but to me that's more of a visual thing because it sure flies great and predictably.

It looks like it is not getting full throw. However, on the ground, if I give full up and then push on the elevator the center of the hingeline on the elevator moves, not the servo.

To go from a harrier to a hover it takes a while to get into the hover.

Yeah, I heard that it likes to hover leaning back.

Hitec Rocks!!!

Did it to me again!

Right on Schedule, sent them out 10 days ago, Hitec got them last Wed. From the 57 SC.

Burnt Motor and Amplifier in each servo as I suspected. Actually one just had slightly spread gear teeth.

So instead of fixing them......

I love spending the entire day at the field when it is 100 plus degrees. I used to hate hot weather and now I love it.

I really need to send about 10 hs65mgs/hbs to them. I could get another plane or two flying.
