Nah.... I just belong to the "flyhigh" brotherhood. I tend to do most of my 3D maneuvers a bit higher than some of you guys....though I must admit to having been recently seen doing a KE at about 20 feet, which is low for me....

I don't mind crashing so much if it is my fault, I just hate loosing planes to equipment failures...

On a side note I would guess that I have about as many packs as you. None are expensive ones and I would guess that at least half are small packs (2S 360 and 3S 360's.) I like to have at least three per plane and my hanger is nowhere as large as yours. I do have a bunch that do double, triple, or quad duty (Buck huck, EPP Extra, 42 Slick, 48 Edge.)
Nah, the 120 power cables all taken care of, The charge leads and balance leads are just laying there, but of course are not in use. The chargers are fed off of two separate circuits, so no overload.

I could get 3 flight sets of Gens Ace for the price of one set of TP. Even getting a TP pack replaced for 50% would cost more than a new Gens Ace pack.
Everybody is of course entitled to their own opinion. That said.though I like Gens Ace packs, I have already had two Gens Ace packs go bad on me. One at 46 days from date of purchase (not even date of receipt), and Hobby Partz refused to warranty it. Another at two months (but only had about a dozen flights on it.), but of course no warranty. Thunder Power is one year free replacement, 50% off for crash or after one year.

LOL it looks like both cmala and me are chickening out of going to the club meeting tonight. (remember all our ranting a few days ago?) I guess we forfeit our right to complain if we don't go to the meetings.

of course, the meeting doesn't start for an hour yet, still a chance we could go...

Anyone know the chapter and verse of the AMA code stating that non-members flying buddy box with an AMA member are OK to fly at AMA fields?

This looks promising:

For non-AMA members wishing to experience a “hands-on” model flight, the Academy does allow this, on a one-time basis
per person ONLY, (with the use of a Buddy Box system for RC). During this one-time flight, the club is protected through its
liability coverage as long as the non-member’s supervised flying is in accordance with the AMA National Model Aircraft
Safety Code(s).
