I belong to Weak Signals who puts on the show and the last list I saw they where not on it and there was a waiting list for tables and they where not on that list either. I guess things can change but as of two weeks ago that's how it was. I really wish they would go, I've asked them several times.

3DHS will be there!

I drive a chevy suburban as well. But my dad has a Ford E-150 van. We once fit his 118" Carf, 102" Yak, my 70" Slick and a 78" Patty Wagstaff in there. And then we put the little foamies or little 47-50 plane(s) on the back seats. Too bad it isn't stylish .

I just saw a banner on FG for the new QQ composite 102" yak.....plane looks nice...expensive...a pound or so heaver than a 103......I suppose the die hard QQ fans should have a nice plane now....but it's not something I'd feel happy beating up.....no way to repair them with balsa and a motor-box kit... And it'd be even worse to try and re-paint it like nothing ever happened.......I'll stick to balsa and readily available motor box kits.

The best part.....it says "designed for DA100-120" and they cut the left side of the cowl for the spark plug wire...guess it really wasn't designed for 120.

I did fly my 103 some today....wow...it's for sure my favorite plane. Someday I'll do another 104...but I sure love my 103/120 combo. And it was just running fine today....nice clean idle...lots of power.....calm wind.....not too cold.....a nice day.

I can't wait for the first FLI down in Texas to huck with everyone....then it's Nall.....wow....I can't wait!

You'd be surprised what you can fit an 87 into with some creativity. Mine fits in my 3 series coupe.

I'm getting that Spring flying bug feeling too! Got the 57 out yesterday, Nano outside this afternoon... Ordering spare parts, getting things spruced up for the first event, wherever that may end up being.

Yeah, but it has to fit me and my dad also. I am thinking take the stabs off and sliding the tail between the two front seats up to the windshield. That might work.

Anybody with an 87 and a 71? Could you tell me how much taller the rudder is on the 87? Thanks!

I don't have a 71, but I do have a 70. It's funny, as the two planes have completely different style rudders. The slick is much taller, but shorter when compared with an equally sized extra.

With that being said, the height of the rudder on my 70" Slick (the older version), is the same height (17.5") from the bottom of the fuse as my 87, and almost the same (20.25 for the slick, 20.5 for the extra) from the bottom of the tail wheel.

I love my 87" it is such a fantastic plane!
