Im thinking EF MXS, Velox and of course a Slick or two if I visit KY this year. Prob there for the party and not the comp so youre always welcome to a pull on one of my birds. Probably have to have a nap in there somewhere anyway

Anyone know the recommended CG for the v1 48" Velox? I've got it at the front edge of the spar, but something tells me it's supposed to be farther forward than that. 3DHS has taken that model off their site, so I can't find the info anywhere.

That's pretty much how I've been doing it, but didn't know about the Velox. And it being only 45" long, I'm guessing it is a lot more sensitive to CG location.

from the manual...

48" Velox VR-1 CG 98 mm from leading edge of wing at wing root (at fuselage)

These are starting, aerobatic center-of-gravity locations. After several flights, you can and should adjust
in small increments to find your perfect, personal CG location.

Low/Precision Rates (in degrees and inches) and Corresponding Exponential
Aileron 15 degrees .75” 30% Expo
Elevator 13 degrees 1.25” 30% Expo
Rudder 45 degrees 3.5” 75% Expo

High/3D Rates (in degrees and inches) and Corresponding Exponential
Aileron 28 degrees 1.25” 75% Expo
Elevator 45 degrees 3” 85% Expo
Rudder 45 degrees 3.5” 75% Expo

The above throw measurements are taken at the aft edge of the ailerons and elevator, and from the bottom aft edge of the rudder. Note that Hitec and Futaba radios require NEGATIVE exponential, while JR and Spektrum use POSITIVE exponential.

Debating what color spinner; red, yellow, white, or black since all those colors are apart of the scheme. Kind of leaning more towards black to go with the landing gear and trim though.
