Hurts my wallet just looking at it. Makes me wish I could convert my Gen1 emaxx to brushless. It is such a nice truck with all my RPM upgrades.

The psp cap is what inspired me to try and make one.

It looked cool and possible but difficult.

I thought it would be a little easier until I realized that it needed a nipple on the inside of the cap but by then I was already mentally committed

George, I don't even know enough to understand your question.

I plan to set the tool thing on an angle, 29 deg or whatever it needs to be. The angled one is what I would use to cut a little deeper in the threads each time.

Then there is a straight forward and back that is perpendicular to the center of the rotating part and then the left and right. I use these to get into the cap to get started and the left/right is what I use to drive it to make the threads.

The lathe will rotate either direction and I can set it up for left or right hand threads.

I'll take some pictures tomorrow of my machines and tools

I'll be the first to admit... I hated cutting threads on a lathe, and would do everything I could to avoid doing it, so, while I know the basics, and could cut them, some things, I just never tried....cutting and internal thread from the back end of it is one of them... I wish I could tell you exactly how to do it, but I am sure that George is much more qualified to do so than I am....

I normally don't come into the office on Friday's but since the WRAM show is 2 buildings over from my job I felt it would be a shame not to attend this year. I already parked my car on the parking deck right next to the convention center so I won't encounter any issues loading up my 1 and only 1 new toy I am picking up today.

For those of you that have never been to the MEC here is a little MAP. In regards to the parking structure right next door to the convention center I am not sure if public parking is allowed on the first 2 floors during the weekend. I know during the work week the first 2 floors are by permit only for my company and another company and the 3rd floor is public parking.

hahah. The wife wouldn't let me borrow the mini-van... I guess that is her way to make sure what ever I get will only fit in my 2 door coupe.

I am actually picking up a retro 51 inch slick in red NIB. I lost mine a few months back due to a servo lockup. Only reason also is because I have the vinyl for it and I want to put it to good use. Plus I loved that bird.

I just picked up my first 51 Slick too. Got it off another addict and it's the retro/classic version. I love it!
