I can't speak for Quad, but the 57" is amazing. By far my favor electric plane. You've got to go with the Motrofly motors. (The best).

Help Needed

After flying my 60 EF Extra the other day I noticed that both ailerons were down about 3/8ths inch like it had flaperons engaged. It has HS225mgs on the aillerons, an AR 8000 DSMX receiver and a DX8 tx. I knew when I set it up that they were set to neutral so I was baffled. I was able to level them both using sub trim and all was well.
2 days later the same thing happens when I plug a battery into my 48 Super Vyper. Ailerons were both down about 3/8ths inch It has 65MGs on the ailerons and a AR 6210 DSMX. Again the same DX 8 tx. I was able to level them with sub trim.
Now today I plug a battery into the EF 60 inch Extra and bam the ailerons are down again. Fixed again with sub trim and flew it with no issues.
I always hook up my receivers with the right going to ailerons and the left going to aux 1. No Y connectors. On both planes I have flaperons engaged but I do not have any flaperons dialed into the EF plane but I do have them on the Super Vyper. The switch was set to off.

I am thinking this is a tx issue as 2 planes with different systems did the same thing. Any help is appreciated. Mike

Does the servo monitor in the tx show that both ailerons are not centered? If so, it is probably a tx issue.

I would post this in the dx8 thread or pm AndyKunz about it.

No I am sure they were plugged in correct. Right turn was still right turn and left turn was still left. They would just enter with the ailerons both down an equal amount. Where is the servo monitor screen that zmonster is speaking of??

It's the last thing on the list on the function menu.(when you click the roller from the home screen)

From the main screen, scroll down to the last option; "monitor"

I have owned the 57 and 58. But never had the 59. I've owned a 70" Slick and love, loved it. The 58 is a 3D beast. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with either one. You have a 72, so I would go with something other than the Extra. And if you have never owned a Slick, I would definitely recommend you do.

57" Extra is amazing, but I like the 59" Slick in the wind....I just finished the 58" Edge, but have not flown in yet...

I absolutely love my 58" edge! I can't wait to get it flying again! I now have some a5040 servos so I can get it back in the air after the crash back in July.
