If I was in your shoes, I'd take the 57 to the in-laws because it does everything really well. I'd buy the Byper to compliment your home fleet. You've already got awesome 3D machines in your fleet, why not get an awesome plane that is quite different.

I agree about the 57...but I want it here so I can fly it more often. Landing can be an issue there; 300 acres of hay field but I never know what length the coastal grass will be. So I wanted to stick to 60" or below (I can harrier land the smaller size easier).

Is the biper really a solid airframe? I dont want to give up all around performance for the novality of 2 wings. But I would consider it; if it get the addicts seal of approval. I was left with a bad taste after the 40 edge twisted wing issue to I wanted to go with "tried and true" this time.

You want tried and true and all around monster, my vote is for the 51"...

Doh! Tough one actually. I've never flown the biper so my thoughts likely don't count.

But I'd say that everyone should own a 51" Slick at least once in their life.

I have both, and love the bipe because it is different, but 51" slick is a must have, biper is not

I know...I feel like I've cheated myself. I have wife approval and everything. Save $30 (basically free shipping) from 3dhs and can get 4 new 5085mg digitals for $120. I do love buying airplanes though.

When I moved up to my 89 I had to sell either my bype or 51... I sold the bype. That 51 won't go anywhere, anytime soon!

That's exactly what it did for me - a orange 51" slick is now coming my way, after having waffled for a couple months on the 46" yak, the 47" shp, the 48" edge, and the 51" slick.

Here's a dumb question...

I have a 47" SHP (old version) - I also have a number of other 3DHS planes, but no other Extras (41 Edge, 42 & 51 Slick, 70 Velox). I love the way the SHP flies. I know 10" makes a big difference but how does it compare to the 57" Extra? Is it impossible to compare them because of the size difference?

Put a different way, do I need another Extra, since I love the SHP so much?

yes. but a 72 would fit better with your existing batteries and would share spare servos, etc with the velox .

The 57 flys much better than the 47 to me.
