For precision, if you don't want to go with a Vyper or Osiris, get the Extra SHP. Set up your servo arm geometry such that you have full resolution at smaller throws and do not mount the SFGs on the plane. Set it up with the cg as far forward as you can get it. It should track beautifully.

While it is true that a more forward CG will help with precision, it's seems more bang for the buck can be had from choosing an appropriate airplane that's made for (or at least ins strongly suited for) precision. For instance, using a forward CG on an Edge versus using a neutral CG on an SV... The SV will still be MUCH better suited for precision than the Edge.
What you're suggesting is kinda like telling someone to get an SUV for track racing instead of a Ferrari but just be sure to put racing tires on the SUV.
