Ohio Bush Planes Meet this weekend....
Was just driving back in from working on the road today and heard a Bunch of planes on 122.9 on my mobile in the car. Had a good idea they were up ahead of me at a grass strip.
Soon I saw about 6-8 Taildraggers in the pattern. A Bipe and other SuperCubs and BigFoots. Most ALL are Big Foots but on different airframes.The place is Graham Farm at Adams Mills, Ohio, right beside SR 16 East of Newark, west of Coshocton. The place was packed with planes lining the sides of the runway! They were lined up on Final like landing on a Carrier! Was pretty intimidating having a BigFoot SuperCub coming at your windshield in a Big Slip, (kind of Breezy and crosswind today).  The East end of the field is within about a 100ft of the SR. They have to come down in, dropping over two lines of trees, narrow slot between them, so they were doing Slips between the lines! I had a Semi on my tail so did not try to stop and pull in, sharp 90. Only had the Cell, daughter is out Fall Touring again with the Canon...  Got on here and found out what the big deal was that is going on there this weekend. Will try to get back down there, (about 25 min. from home), with the camera. Ohiobushplanes.com |
