Your meter just measures the voltage and the amps and then multiplies them together to show you watts.

Some of your power can be lost because it is just being used to generate heat. This will be different with different motors.

Your voltage under load along with motor kv sets the prop rpm. If your batteries let the voltage decrease under load then your rpm will drop and your total watts will drop.

Kv is rpm per volt

It looked like he was having issues on the runway. Then I thought it looked like his ailerons were reversed on takeoff.

Hey guys, I have previously spliced my pro bec into the battery lines but I think Ive decided to isolate my radio system from the esc on this next build and have decided to run a lipo for the rx. I already have pro bec installed in the plane with a deans on it. So I am trying to figure out whether to run a 3s or only a 2s. 2s obviously less weight and Im assuming that the radio system isnt going to use much as far as capacity goes. Is there a common size that folks use for this application? 70 AJSlick and its going to be mounted right at the wing tube insert inside the cabin for easy access.
Thanks

Are you using HV servos? If so, then go with 3s and regulate the voltage to 8.2v. If you're not, then just go with 2s.

Actually will probably run 6v to be on the safe side for this one. Trying the new XQ servos and not willing to push em till the jury is back in. How many milliamps do you think a flight or two will use, approx of course. Again I want to be on the safe side till I can get a few bench mark flights on it. I guess the other option would be to eliminate the bec pro and get a LIFE pack

Okay, then go with 2s and set your bec to 6v.

What are XQ servos? Never heard of them.

I am going to be using a 2s 1550mah battery for my receiver pack. So I'd say go with a 1300mah to 1800mah rx battery. I'm using electric also.
