That plane is a beauty, both in air and on the ground. Pardon my noobness, but is the Velox based on a full scale model, or is it a r/c native design?

It is based on the full scale Velox Revolution 1. Awesome airplane, and I think the only full scale aerobatic plane with SFG's (although there they served more as wing fences I believe).

It looks too short compared to my 3DHS SV airframe. The fuse and the rudder ain't long enough?

which isn't long enough?... most full scale planes are greatly altered to get the performance we have come to appreciate and expect. But that is indeed the full scale Velox that was the inspiration, but many liberties were taken... Scott has much appreciation for the full scale planes and tried to keep details in the models... but the Velox had more liberties taken with it, with the view of getting the best performing RC plane without getting hung up about being scale... which has a lot to do with why the model performs as well as it does, it truly rocks.

You can scale down the plane but not the air. RC planes get things moved around and sizes of things are changed mainly to get the rc versions to fly good/right/correct. Here is a good example you don't notice unless you actually look over them and compare.

Look at the full scale beast horizontal stab

Look at the rc beast horizontal stab is much lower

When I talked to Quique he said it was horrible with the stab up higher on the rc version.
