Starting to get my stuff together and I'd like to hear from those with experience with the airframe!

Same here, I ordered them for the SFGs on my 87 SHP since the included ones are just too short for my comfort (that and one came out in flight and the SFG snapped in half). I wish amazon carried more hardware that was Prime eligible.

So I tested my radio system, and its not the radio's fault
I went over 1/4 mile away on my bike, only moving the elevator, and recorded the servos to see what was happeneing. When I got back and watched the video, only the elevator servo moved, the whole time!
I did the same thing in range check, and it lost signal a little over halfway there.

So I think it may have been a brownout.
Although, I put pressure on all of the servos and ran them like a maniac for a minute and the BEC wasn't even warm.....
I guess on the next flight I'll just try a separate RX battery.
I'm kinda stumped. All signs say it should work fine.

put a meter on it and measure the current draw of your servos then compare that with what your BEC is rated at.

If you have a simple "watts up" meter you can make connectors to hook it up.

Got wife approval for a new tv yesterday. 12 hours later, and we have a 65 inch panny plasma scheduled for Friday delivery. I know, not airplane related, but still falls into the "toy" category Flight pass videos will look sweet.

Those servos didn't have a load on them when you moved them a lot. In the air there will be air pressure against them and they will draw more power.

What a Vacation Day (planned) but Hijacked by storm aftermath!

Here was some Day 3 mCPx boring hovering practice yesterday after getting a new solid CF Long Boom installed. Much better and easier to handle, stable. I managed to get all the dirt and debris blown out of the open side of the garage at least!

Should have shot vid when I was out flying outside later, before the next round of storms we had. Starting to get more comfortable with it and was trying some stuff.

Since I'm On Vacation, I will fly more today.

H.F fly your mcpx up a bit higher out of ground effect, way easier to control.
Flying heli's will make u a better 3d pilot.......helped me a lot !

Yeah, I saw that on HH website the demo vid. Said get up 3ft to stay out of it, BUT it makes really cool Bladewash sounds when you are skimming low!

When I went outside I got up for half the flight above 3 ft. It was fun though skimming in the grass and clipping off grass shoots!

I was out in it all weekend. Was glad to get back to the data centers AC today. Then again I'd take a hot day at the field over a cool day at work anytime.

+1 to that...I was out flying Saturday morning and Sunday morning...then I got to go swimming with my family in the afternoon...a perfect transition from the hot flying field to the cool water of a shaded pool.
