Dave,
Why have you changed your user!!? I cant keep up.

If you are serious about building the Fire Fly you are more than welcome to the plan, it will not win any beauty contests but it is cheap and easy to fly. I just need to tidy things up on it a bit and will send it.

I do believe you have never built one of mine? so that would be a first!!

Regards

Rich

I'd be interested in buying a Firefly plan if that's possible, alternatively if you are going to sell the next one to fund the one after that, even better.

You too man!!! Missed you guys!

The PDFs along with the photos and text on this thread should get the job done. I am going to give it a go when I get the CF tubing.

LazyGit!..lol

Will you be coming to our bit of a get together Saturday? if so I can pop down to Staples tomorrow and get a copy printed of the MKII Fire Fly. It is not 100% finished but is close enough to build from. It is a bit different to the first with some mods to the tailplane and a few extra formers etc, HK head will just drop straight on the top If anyone else wants a copy that will be coming Sat let me know before 2 pm tomorrow.
I have made a start on the night flier version, blew the plan up by 140%. Not sure on the span as yet but it will be somewhere in the region of 60-70". My goal for this one is to keep it as light as I possibly can with a target weight of 2-3lbs. Then I should be able to carry Blackpool Illuminations with its own battery dedicated battery
Here is a photo of it so far, I have not been at it full on due to 'Panther MKII' commitments. Kind of a slot it in when I get board build. I have also cut out the parts for 2 standard Fire Fly II's, purely to flog on.

Regards

Rich

(off to the petrol station to try and get some fuel for my car!!, anyone else having trouble?)

Hi Rich,

I would like a copy but only if I can pay for it! Fuel is looking a bit dodgy around here with the local Esso running out on some of the pumps. Just hope they can fill up the tanks before our little fly in.

Thanks

Chas

Chas, Bill,
No can do, Fire Fly plans are on the house just want to make one journey down to Staples that's all.

After a 20 min wait down at Tescos I managed to fill the old tractor up in readiness. Its nearly 1.50 a litre!! before we know it beer will be cheaper

What we need to invent is an engine than runs on water!

Regards

Rich
