Bill,
Nice and smooth, loving the take off , why not try to fly inside the airstrip area for a couple of circuits?
For me keeping it at close quarters helps with orientation, well most of the time

Rich

I take it back Bill,

Just watched the video again and looked at the shadow of the FF on the ground.....it is an optical illusion due to its size no doubt, you are flying pretty close in. I will get back under my rock!

Hi Bill,
This was not my first auto gyro maiden, but the first one that was setup 100%
before the maiden flight, did not even need to give one click on the trims.
At the moment I have got 5 gyros and waiting for my FF2 plan to arrive.

Ok Richard,
Motor: Bell type; Turnigy L3010C-1300kv (420 W)
Prop: 9 x 6
Esc: 40 Amp
Bat: 3 Cell 1300 mAh

My biggest worry was the motor but as you can see there was more than enough power.
Regards, Martin

FF Head

Hi all,
Just posting some useless information.
The triplate and bottom plate is made from pollycarb 1.5 mm thick. On my heavier gyros I use 2 mm thick. I never had a head plate to fail yet. Price wise it is very cheap and easy to get hold off in our country.

Hey Rich,

another Fire Fly II is growing ;-)

Think itŽll be a good way to test my flying skills on the Fire Fly autogyro before crashing the Tempest!

Really IŽve got no Problem in getting a Model Helicopter or a fixed Wing Airplane up in the air, but never tryed an autogyro yet!

Will send you a PM soon, with some Questions concerning the notations on the Fire Fly II plan!

But by now really Great Job!!!

Regards Maakus

The dump truck looks great. Is it going to be dropped on a parachute or will you epoxy it in place?

Hey Lazygit,

Epoxying it in place will get me some big trouble with my son!!!

But NICE IDEA!

What if we could create some competition, like the Fire Fly Dropping Contest.

Thinking of dropping a unique object onto a target by trying to get the bulls eye!

Like the RC Parachutists try to make the spot landing!

To train our flying skills. Whatever IŽll loose

Regards
