I Like That No.4 too. You do amazing things with a pop bottle. Is the new owner getting a set of plans too? I'm sure He will be the main topic at his flying field. Are you also sending Debbs for a photo shoot ?

Bill,
I can ask her but you can probably guess the answer, yep the new owner will get a set of plans

The strangest thing just happened?

I have soldered up the new switch to my lights (which works great), came inside with my transmitter and was flicking them on and off as you do looking through the window.
Decided to have a 'browse', NOTHING! turned off router, left it, then back on again....absolutely no connection. Played with the sockets etc but to no avail!

Turned off my transmitter and everything fired up! must have been swamping the 2.4ghz signal! Try it!!

Rich, that as happened to me many times. Another thing that happens is I've had my model in the house doing some setup adjustments and try to re-bind but have the wi-fi router overpower my transmitter. I'd have to take everything outside to do a final re-bind.

It's a good thing to let people know about. The possibility of messing with a speed controller is there as well. Joe can verify how sharp some of the props are!

Don,
I really didn't know that the WiFi was 2.4, I had no problems with the model but it only had the lights connected up. I will certainly be more careful in the future.
Had a right telling off from the daughter! some game she was playing on the Play Station got interupted ...bad book s yet again!

Fire Fly IV night light tests (1 min 18 sec)

You'd think I'd have better things to do

Don,
I have the link to youtube? the MP3 file won't upload onto here.

Went out after work last night and flight tested the 'no4' orange blades, whilst there I also threw on a set of HK C30 blades. These flew well but the Fire Fly flew a little faster and they were out of balance. They wuld probably work better with a lighter flight pack. But still an option for the FF if someone doesn't feel like making blades.

Apparently that video is highly addictive. I've watched it over a hundred times now. The problem is, each time I watch it I expect a different outcomeI keep thinking the lights are eventually going to blink with the beat of the music? I think there's a term for this disease.
